Video Round-Up: New Music Video Edition

Video Round-Up is a recurring post collecting an assortment of videos from around the web. Whether they be music videos, creative viral marketing, just plain cool, or just plain ridiculous, they will all be found on Video Round-Up.

With the flood of awesome music coming out right now, there's also the inevitable influx of music videos to accompany the singles of all of those new albums. Rather than posting each of them individually, I figured I'd resurrect the most-likely forgotten Video Round-Up to feature them all at once. Band of Horses -- Knock Knock

I've been unable to listen to Band of Horses' last album, Infinite Arms, since a few weeks after it first came out. Not because it was bad, but because right at that time we took a multi-day vacation and it was one of the only albums I had with me. So the whole car ride there and back was set to the soundtrack of that album, over and over and over again. Understandably, I'm looking forward to the band's new album, Mirage Rock, for some Band of Horses I can consume responsibly. It hits stores on September 17th and can be pre-ordered here.



Sigur Ros -- Dauoalogn

Time-lapsed video of nature is exactly what a Sigur Ros music video should be. This is beautiful. This is from the band's 2012 release Valtari, which you can buy here.



Riverboat Gamblers -- Comedians

I'm not really sure what's going on in this video, except that I could totally see a bunch of hipster types throwing a party like this. The song comes from The Wolf You Feed, released earlier this year and available for purchase here.



Sleigh Bells -- End of the Line

New York-based noise pop duo Sleigh Bells continue their trend of cinematic music videos featuring loads of school-days imagery. While not a whole lot happens in this one, it is still very well shot and contains lots of bike riding with introspective looks. That's a plus, right? You can buy their last album here.



Coheed and Cambria -- Desmond the Destitute

This video tells a strangely realistic story, considering it's from a band that writes about nothing but ridiculously extensive and detailed space opera-type stories. While I'd like to think this could be what finally gets me into the group -- as I've never been able to get excited for their sci-fi tales -- I've always liked the first single to come from them when they're releasing a new album, and then not really like any of the rest of the album. Either way, this Rocky-like story is an interesting watch for fans or curious on-lookers alike. You can pre-order the new album here.
