Its slightly off take on America, similar to Alan Wake and Deadly Premonition, and its layered takes on high-school character tropes are deeply charming. Microsoft's Flight Simulator was inexplicably popular with me and my PC-gaming friends in the nineties. Its Combat Flight Simulator spin-off made much more sense for me and my ten-year-old friends to be playing, though, and it makes more sense as a topic for Unoriginal Soundtracks. This episode features, unsurprisingly, a lot of British rock and punk, and no German music.
