Unoriginal Soundtracks special: Cardiff 10K

This episode is a little different. I'm competing (or participating, at least) in the Cardiff 10k. Being a music nerd as well as a runner, I thought I'd beatmatch some motivational rock into a continuous 170bpm mix and share it.

I'm running the race for the Wallich -- a Welsh charity that runs homeless shelters and provides support and training for homeless people and those at risk of homelessness. Please consider donating if you enjoy this episode.

Unoriginal Soundtracks #109: Batman Arkham Knight (PC)

Every other Friday, I share a playlist of songs tangentially related to a single game or series. Songs about alien sex for Mass Effect, world leaders for Civilization, and so on. Make requests to @USPodcast on Twitter.

Batman: Arkham Knight launched this week, but the PC version tripped over its physics-simulation debris and was pulled from sale almost immediately. In the game's stead, PC gamers, please enjoy this blues, funk, and country music playlist inspired by it.

Unoriginal Soundtracks #104: Cities Skylines

Every other Wednesday, I share a playlist of songs tangentially related to a single game or series. Songs about alien sex for Mass Effect, world leaders for Civilization, and so on. Make requests to @USPodcast on Twitter.

Cities: Skylines is the best thing since playing with train sets and building blocks. It inspires this playlist of rock and soul.

Unoriginal Soundtracks 77: Batman Arkham Origins

Every other Wednesday, I share a playlist of songs tangentially related to a single game or series. Songs about alien sex for Mass Effect, world leaders for Civilization, and so on. Make requests to @USPodcast on Twitter.

Batman: Arkham Origins brings a medley of mediocre (and formidable) DC villains to Gotham to see who can get the most bones broken by Batman. It also inspires this Christmassy playlist of rock, rap, and soul.

Unoriginal Soundtracks Podcast: Worms Edition

Every other Wednesday I share a playlist of songs tangentially related to a single game or series. Songs about alien sex for Mass Effect, songs about world leaders for Civilization, and so on. Searching for random terms on Spotify is a great way to discover new music and rediscover old classics.

This podcast contains no songs about concrete donkeys, or banana bombs, or aqua sheep. Now that your expectations are tempered, I present to you a mix of songs about the other weapons you'll find in the British classic of hotseat multiplayer.
