Jon's Top 10 Movies of 2010


2010 was certainly a big year for movies. While I didn't come close to seeing everything that hit the big screens, there was more than enough at my fingertips to compose a very strong list of films. All of these might not appeal to you, but many of these capture a very significant slice of our culture in a way that seems unique to this year.

Tom's Top 5 Movies of 2010


2010 was quite a year for me. I have a select few directors that I follow with great passion and it seems that the fates conspired to give me a film from each of them this year. I can be quite biased, and have no problem admitting this, so these directors tend to get glowing reviews from me despite any faults. They have yet to make a movie that I consider less than stellar but that is mostly because everything they do has an affect on me. Here is my (slightly spoilerish) list of totally biased favorites.

Movie Review: The Social Network


Even if you aren't familiar with The Social Network, you've no doubt heard of Facebook, the incredibly popular website that inspired it. The site boasts over 500 million users, but it didn't get there by accident. Every massive success story started somewhere, and The Social Network suggests that Facebooks is filled with backstabbing, thievery and unchecked ambition. How much of that is true is left to the audience.
