News: Iron & Wine to release new album in April

Iron & Wine announced yesterday that a fifth album has been in the works and will be released this coming April. The album will be called Ghost on Ghost and is produced by long time collaborator Brian Deck.

Remember that song you played over and over again in the summer of 1998? Man, that was my Jam! The desire to share a certain song we keep listening to over and over again is so commonplace in our music culture today. Listener requested music radio built off of the idea, as did music television try accomplish the same idea not too long ago (though, honestly, it is all stuffed in the pant linings of  the bigger production companies).

This week on Shuffled, I look into one of the sites I use when listen to music online and from other people. We've featured many Canuck's here on Shuffled before: FM, Barenaked Ladies, Rush, Klaatu to name a few. There's a lot of material that comes from our friends up north, and while this playlist doesn't have the likes of Arcade Fire or Neil Young, you may just find something new here to like.
