Unoriginal Soundtracks Podcast: Deadly Premonition Edition

Every other Wednesday I share a playlist of songs tangentially related to a single game or series. Songs about alien sex for Mass Effect, songs about world leaders for Civilization, and so on. Searching for random terms on Spotify is a great way to discover new music and rediscover old classics.

SWERY's bizarre, flawed, but loveable horror game inspires as mixed a playlist as ever: punk, soul, prog... Even a diss rap directed at a supporting character.

Track List

The Flaming Lips -- Talkin' 'Bout the Smiling Deathporn Immorality Blues (Everyone Wants to Live Forever) (Buy the MP3 or album)
Bad Religion -- Only Rain (Buy the MP3 or album)
Nine Leaves -- Red Dress (Buy the MP3 or album)
Otis Redding -- Cigarettes and Coffee (Buy the MP3 or album)
Shaa Khan -- White Room (Buy the MP3 or album)
Daniel Johnston -- Devil Town (Buy the MP3 or album)
Del tha Funkee Homosapien -- Wack M.C.s (Buy the MP3 or album)
Creedence Clearwater Revival-- Who'll Stop the Rain (Buy the MP3 or album)

My love of DEADLY PREMONITION randomly brought me to this podcast on iTunes. I downloaded, thinking it might be okay.

It's now 2 days later, and I've listened to it 4 times. Absolutely loved it! The songs were incredible, eclectic, and perfectly captured the game. It prompted me to become a permanent subscriber.

Just wanted to thank you for creating this. Genuinely awesome.

That comment made my day, Paul. And thanks for making the effort to come to Cerebral Pop to say that.
