Video Round-Up: Re-think Edition

Video Round-Up is a weekly post collecting an assortment of videos from around the web. Whether they be music videos, creative viral marketing, just plain cool, or just plain ridiculous, they will all be found on Video Round-Up.

Whether it's good ol' fashion art, a modern twist on sci-fi, a satire, or a different point of view, this week's videos feature creators who take something and make something else out of it.

Joshua Harris created some great art out of trash bags and air pressure in subway tunnels--another thing on the list of creative stuff I can't do.

It's fun to see street artists create interactive art that compels the community to notice. A piano staircase is a great example. The only problem is, why don't artists create such cool stuff where I live?

Topicality! If you haven't seen the original, do watch it to compare. And if you don't recognize the audio, it's Christian Bale on the set of Terminator: Salvation. I still don't know which side of the fence I sit on concerning this commercial. Very strange, possibly inappropriate.

Here's another fairly current video. It's depiction of pixels angry at some city for some reason is aesthetically perfect. There's a version floating somewhere in the ethernet with music, but sans song makes it more Cloverfield-y. OK, OK, it's still nothing like that movie.

Finally, an amazing mash-up of classic Carl Sagan--the famous astronomer--and an apposite Mogwai song to accompany the cosmic theme. Sagan seemed to me obsessed with space and humanity's relation to it. He nails the "be aware of your insignificance, but still live to the fullest" sense with his narration here.
