Video Round-Up: On the Tele Edition

Video Round-Up is a weekly post collecting an assortment of videos from around the web. Whether they be music videos, creative viral marketing, just plain cool, or just plain ridiculous, they will all be found on Video Round-Up.

This week there is a clear break between the entertainment and the information. Pay attention to both, but focus more on the latter. It'll help.

The editing is cheesy, but this video speaks directly to me. I've always championed infomercial acting; and by "championed" I mean "relentlessly insulted." Mash tens of these clips together, and their fictitious and purposeful being-bad-at-things-ness is more apparent. And still hilarious.

Viral videos usually aren't the bread and butter of Cerebral Pop, but some actually show off talented people. This is one of them. If you've seen this one before, watch it again.

Coming off a contemporary hip-hop video, we give you some old-school fantasticness. This is really beyond excellent. And, as we all know, his message, "Don't copy that floppy," is still very relevant in 2010.

I love Real Time with Bill Maher. He could have done a much better job than he did with his anti-religion documentary Religulous, but Maher is still clearly one of the more prominent supporters of scientific thinking in America. This video happens to be topical, too!

The Carl Sagan video from the last Round-Up was a success, so we bring you another one; this time without a script or post-rock. Still, his message is just as powerful.

The Don't Copy that Floppy video is High-larious! It certainly made me think twice. I wouldn't want that guy with the curly mullet and 'stache to go broke.
