Video Round-Up: Detention Edition

Video Round-Up is a weekly post collecting an assortment of videos from around the web. Whether they be music videos, creative viral marketing, just plain cool, or just plain ridiculous, they will all be found on Video Round-Up.

The Round-Up is late this week. I am sorry! But I haven't shortchanged you at all. I bring you a new-old classic speech, Christine O'Donnell, contemporary art, Auto-Tuned News and more!

Vimeo is a bastion for hipster-friendly, well edited, high-quality videos like this. The song is wonderful, the colors vivid, and the speed multiplied. In fact, for me, the video does such a good job at highlighting the magic of a show like Coachella that I forgot all about the sweaty smelly crowds, the grim restroom situation, and high prices. Good job!

So let us continue with a beautiful "fluid dress" art piece, the likes of which you're likely to find on Vimeo. Watch the entire video and you will see the many ways that fluid and air are manipulated in the tubes to create different visuals.

Intermission.

In the news lately, Christine O'Donnell is making a name for herself in a number of funny ways that...will not help her win her election. Here is one debate in which she fails to remember part of the first amendment, and a couple others (fourteenth and sixteenth). She also says such classics as "Evolution is JUST a theory."

Finally, a video I hope Alex C finds interesting. This passionate speech is featured in at least two songs, one by Paper Chase and another by From Monument to Masses. He mentions conservative university policy, and I hope he isn't talking about segregation. At any rate, its generalities about injustice are totally exciting.

That Auto-Tune the News is such a great one.

Awesome that you found that soundbyte. We could make paper chase soundbytes a regular thing. We should do this one too - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szAthl0DdMg
