Insufficient Funds: Angry Birds in Chrome

It’s not often that a game catches onto the mainstream like Angry Birds has, and usually when one does it’s made by PopCap or Zynga. But Rovio Mobile stumbled upon a phenomenon with their bird-launching casual game. It has likely earned them a bajillion dollars and has been ported to every platform imaginable, now including your Internet browser. Yes, as of this week, Angry Birds is now playable in Chrome browsers for absolutely nothing.

If for some reason you have no knowledge of this wildly popular game, the premise is simple: some pigs stole the bird’s eggs, and now they’re pissed. Use a slingshot to launch birds at the structures the pigs are hiding in and take out all of them. Different birds have different abilities to help break up the monotony. Plus, the Chrome version has extras, or so I've read. I haven't actually gotten to them despite getting to the third world now, but apparently there are "Chrome Bombs" or something.

Angry Birds being free in your browser might not be a huge deal given the countless "fling-things-at-structures" games out there, but it's easily worth the time that you're not using to actually do work anyway. Just click over here and play it for free.
