New Beyond Good & Evil 2 Footage?

Beyond Good & Evil was one of my favorite games of the last generation. Unfortunately it wasn't very successful at all. That's why it blew me away when they showed the amazing looking teaser trailer announcing a sequel. Obviously Michel Ancel forked in enough money for Ubisoft with his Rayman Raving Rabbids games that they let him return to projects he's much more passionate about. Well, gearing up for E3, we now have a new video that seems to be for BG&E2. Sure, there's no official word about it, but the character sure looks a lot like Jade, and it's hit online almost exactly a year from the announcement trailer. I hope we hear more about this next month at E3. Here's the new video, and in case you missed it the original teaser trailer below it.

Thanks to the Beyond Good & Evil 2 fan group on Facebook for bringing this to my attention and Kotaku for posting the story.

God damn! If that was in game footage this game will be amazing. I've never heard of the first game, but I saw the teaser trailer awhile back and it got me interested. That parkour-like footage was very intense and flowed like no game I've ever seen.

You should go back and play the first. It's an almagamation of so many gameplay mechanics, and is one of the few games to make it work. It's sort of like a Zelda setup, but there are vehicles, and races with those vehicles, and stealth segments, and you can take photos of animals to earn money. Everything works amazing and the story is great on top of it.

It came out on Gamecube, PS2, PC and Xbox but if all you have is a 360 then unfortunately it is one of the few games that is still not backwards compatible. You could do the PC version though.

IF I didn't know any better I still say Ubisoft may make this into a TV mini Series and a video game. Just saying as it looks good to do both.
